It is often advisable to keep your pup or kitten away from others as they are not fully protected against these diseases until 2 weeks after their booster at 16 weeks. Also street, parks and benches may be possible sources of these diseases.
Worming is also an essential part of their health. A good quality wormer such as Drontal Allwormer is recommended to use on your dog. This covers all major intestinal worms, including Hookworm, Whipworm, Roundworm and Tapeworm. Puppies should be wormed every 2 weeks until 3 months of age, then every
3 months until the age of 6 months and then every 3 months for life.
For your kitten a similar routine is followed although Drontal Allwormer for Cats, Milbemax or Revolution is recommended for use.
Heartworms are not covered in an allwormer. This disease is transmitted by mosquitos and you should start protecting your pet as soon as possible. Prevention is available by either daily, monthly or yearly applications.
Fleas can be controlled by a number of products available from us, these include, Frontline, Frontline Top spot, Advocate (for dogs only), Advantage, Revolution
